Although making money online is not as easy as some web copy would have you believe it is also not really that hard to learn how to do it correctly. So all you have to do is teach yourself the different ways of advertising and controlling your business. Do not rush this step make sure you know what you are doing before you promote. Think about this, does the promotion method you choose really seem to make sense to you. This last question may seem a little strange but believe me I have wasted years here on the internet because what I was taught was basically wrong.
So this brings us to our second point.
Falling for the scams. My biggest fault, is in thinking that everyone on this planet is a nice decent sort of person, and that all the web copy out there is the truth. Don't get me wrong, there are loads of people out there who will honestly try to help you in your quest for an online income. Unfortunately there are many unscrupulous people out there who just want your cash. How do you spot these. It really is up to you to decide, you must be very careful of websites making outrageous claims.Once again use your judgment and not your greed guide you. Appealing to your greed and fear will certainly be part of there sales drive to you.

This is something I have really been guilty of. I must have spent thousands of dollars in the last few years on programs and gadgets that I just had to have in order to succeed.
Did they help me? No not really, because at the end of the day I couldn't implement every tactic and strategy out there. To be fair most of the products I bought where alright but the whole business of internet marketing comes down to applying proven methods that work. So learn the basics and don't fall for all the sales copy that says you will definitely fail unless you by this or that particular product.
